Lack of updates...

...as usual ;)
Been really hectic since the last update. Busy working my "normal day job" (= Didn't have the time to continue writing my songs for the solo album), Adde got a lot of session work in his studio (= Didn't have the time or space to continue the recordings), Leo went on tour with Pain of Salvation (= Pretty difficult to continue recording the drum tracks), my car got stolen and some other personal shit that messed up pretty much everything in my life, Darkwater went overseas to gig the US as well as Holland (again)... And so on. You get the picture ;)

I'm now back on track and I'm writing the last parts for the album. We'll meet up at Studio29 in the beginning of 2012 to continue the process.

Also, I recently joined Time Machine, a Swedish cover-/partyband and will play with the guys full-time. Leo (Pain of Salvation) also joined the band, so we'll really kick some ass! See you on the road!

Things are about to happen...

A bunch of stuff

1st of all: I wanna take the opportunity to hail two great artist who are not with us anymore: Lena Nyman and Gary Moore. You will be missed. RIP!

2nd of all: Darkwater is confirmed for ProgPower USA! We'll play at Center Stage, Atlanta, Georgia September 16th. Make sure to be there!

3rd of all: I'll visit Denmark with Satisfires, feat Tezzi, Leo Margarit (Pain of Salvation) and Chris Andersson (Time Machine), once again. The Upper Hill, Slagelse February 25th and 26th. Swing by for a few beers!

Christmas, birthday and basses

So, I've had my 30th birthday. Great day I spent with my colleagues at work. Good friends, good food and good drinks. Now I have to roll along with the fact that I'm 30+... Anyways, my friend Arttu (Woodo Guitars) patched up my wounds by giving me two brand new basses! One 5-string JB5 Mahogany Burl and one 4-string JB4 Ebony. Magnificent basses, as usual.

Progpower Russia cancelled

From Darkwater Myspace:

"We are truly sorry to say that we will not be able to play Progpower Russia. We've had some trouble getting the visas needed for us to go to Russia, and since it all has taken longer than we expected we will not recieve the visas in time. Playing Progpower Russia was something we were really looking forward to, so this feels very sad for us all. We really hope that we'll get a chance soon again to play in Russia and meeting you all!"

Brand new album and gigs

The brand new Darkwater album is finally announced. It's called "Where Stories End" and will be released Nov 12th in Europe and Nov 23rd in North America. Listen to the samples at the Darkwater Myspace. Pre-order your copy here!

We're hitting the road during October, starting with the ProgPower festivals in Holland and Russia. We'll play tunes from the new album, so make sure to attend (at least) one of the shows:

• October 2nd - ProgPower Europe, Baarlo (NL)
• October 16th - ProgPower Russia, Moscow (RUS)
• October 17th - ProgPower Russia, St. Petersburg (RUS)

Covering Denmark

I will go to Denmark and rock two nights in a row with the cover band Satisfires, feat Tezzi, Leo Margarit (Pain of Salvation) and Johan Österberg.

Shallow Sense

The new single "Only When It's Dark" from Shallow Sense is finally out. It's available on Spotify.
Unfortunately I've decided to leave the band. The reason why is that things are about to happen with Darkwater, and I also have a lot of work to do with my own band. I left the band peacefully and I will help them out if necessary. I wish the guys the best of luck in the future!

Bass done and photo session

I'm done recording basstracks for the new Darkwater album! A lot of work, but I nailed it in time :) 4 of the songs were recorded at Studio29, Örebro, together with Andreas Ohlsson and the remaining 5 songs were recorded at The Grudge, my own studio. The songs are getting the final touch at Studio Fredman as we speak.

We also did a photo session a few days ago, together with the magnificent Lars Ardarve. Since Mr Ardarve took the pictures, they all turned out superior. As always.

And so it begins

Time for some bassbanging on the new tracks from Darkwater. Will record 8-10 songs in the next few weeks in The Grudge Studio. Started recording the 1st track today. So far, so good... Wish me luck! Follow the studio updates here.

Things are about to happen with my solo project! After months of writing songs/ideas, I've finally chosen the 1st tunes to work with. I can't give you any details about the project just yet, but hang in there... I'm really excited! Stay tuned for more updates.
